ABOUT OUR SUMMER CAMP
Our Camp Philosophy:
Summer is a time to make friends, have fun, learn and grow, but most of all, BE HAPPY! Our camp allows your child the freedom to do all that and more! We offer age-appropriate trips, art projects, sports, water play days, dance competitions, swimming, cooking, science lessons, and more! Every week is a different theme that will capture your child's imagination! Quality counselors keep your camper(s) safe and happy. Camp Y-Zone (25 Saddle Road) is for children entering grades 1-6. For their younger siblings, we offer Little Owls Camp (ages 3-4) and Kinder Camp (for children entering Kindergarten in September 2022). Little Owls and Kinder Camp takes place at the Richard F. Blake Children's Center, located next door to the YMCA on Horsehill Road.

What Makes Camp Y-Zone One of the Best
The Y-Zone Youth Annex Facility features over 6,000 square feet of indoor space. Built in 2016, this state-of-the-art building includes a gymnasium, two multipurpose rooms, and three acres of outdoor field and space. Nestled at the end of a cul-de-sac, the Y-Zone Youth Annex provides the perfect camp setting.
Campers are organized into groups based on the grade they will be entering in September 2021. T-shirt colors are designated by grade to help facilitate identification.
Field Trips (TBD pending COVID19 rules and regulations by local Health Department at the start of camp season)
Campers will enjoy field trips to many different sites and attractions throughout the Garden State! Field trips include trips to Sunrise Lake, Glassworks, Ice Skating, and Sky Zone to name a few. Field trip schedules will be posted at a later date. Please check back for information.
Swimming at the YMCA (TBD pending COVID19 rules and regulations by local Health Department at start of camp season)
Campers enjoy weekly recreational swim time at the YMCA. Campers are bused to/from the Y-Zone to the YMCA for some fun in the pool!
Most of our staff return summer after summer, and a lot have experienced the joy of being campers themselves! Each year, we hire a mix of high school seniors and college students to fill our counselor positions. Our camp director and administrative team have over 20 years of summer camp experience. Our staff is first/aid CPR trained, attend various camp trainings and receive background checks.
Y-Zone Summer Camp, Little Owls and Kinder Camp hours are 8AM-5PM. Campers should be dropped off no later than 9:00AM and picked up between 4:00-5:00PM.

Lunches and Snack Shack
Y-ZONE LUNCH PROGRAM (OPTIONAL)
Campers may bring their bagged lunch or purchase lunch through our new partner, "Simply Gourmet Lunches." Parents can order on-line at http://www.simplygourmetlunches.com and customize their camper's lunches from a menu of features. Simply Gourmet will deliver the lunch to camp with your child's name on it. You can choose the days, lunch entree, and any additional sides. Lunches start at around $5.00/day. Allergy free foods are available, too! Everyone is welcomed to purchase pizza on our Pizza Fridays, however, you must submit your money no later than Wednesday. Snack Shack is not included in the cost of lunch and can be purchased separately. The "Simply Gourmet" lunch option is not available to Kinder Campers or Little Owls.
If your child is not participating in the program, they are to bring their own lunch and snack each day. Lunches are not refrigerated however, they are kept inside in an air conditioned room. Every morning upon drop-off campers will put their lunches in a designated wagon which is then brought inside. For campers with food allergies, we provide a separate eating area.
Y-ZONE'S SNACK SHACK
Campers can visit the Snack Shack in the afternoon to get a choice of several delicious snacks. For Example: Fruit Pops, Pop Corners, and Go-Gurt. Snack Shack (1 snack/day) is included in your weekly fee; however, you may also send your child with $1 to purchase an item at the Snack Shack. We are not responsible for money that has been lost on the grounds.
